Program: Adult Recreational Leagues: Mixed, Women's, Men's

Age Group: 16 years and older (Birth year: 2008+)

Recreational Soccer Program Overview:  

Welcome to our Recreational Soccer Program, where we strive to create an engaging and dynamic learning environment for families. This is a recreational league focused on spreading joy through fair play and fun! We encourage skill development and fostering a genuine passion for the beautiful game. We celebrate the learning experience, encouraging players to embrace mistakes, express creativity, and develop into confident and brave athletes. Player development at all ages is at the core of our program, guided by our 4 Pillars of Coaching. 

Our 4 Pillars of Coaching: 

1) Players experience fun: Emphasizing the joy of the game while instilling a strong work ethic. 

2) Players connect through positive team spirit: Fostering camaraderie and teamwork through shared experiences. 

3) Players demonstrate growth with positive coaching: Encouraging personal and skill development through positive reinforcement. 

4) Player commitment increases when learning and improving is frequent: Nurturing a culture of continuous improvement and dedication to the sport. 

Program Timeline: 

The program spans approximately 8 weeks (End of April - End of June): 

Technical Overview and Commitment: 

Frequency: Game days are once per week on Sunday nights. 

Session Duration: Games are 50 minutes in length. 

Match Play: 7v7 (6v6 plus Keepers)

League Participation: 

We are proud members of the Phoenix Football Club (PFC) Recreation League, featuring: 

Approximately 8 games for the season.  

All sessions will be within Sherwood Park

Registration fees cover various aspects, including: 

Facility/field rental costs

Referee Costs 

Team equipment 

ASA membership and insurance costs 

Fee Exclusions: 

Fees do not cover club apparel purchases, extra training fees, tournament entry fees, or related travel costs.  

Schedule and Changes: 

Schedules are subject to change with league updates released one week before startup. 

Weather conditions (thunder, lightning, air quality advisories, and heat index) may lead to session/game cancellations. 

Rescheduling will be attempted where possible, though not guaranteed.
