Facilities Development

Join SPDSA and Strathcona County Mayor and Council Members
Discussion on turf facility development in our community.

When

Thursday, January 19 from 5:00 to 6:00 PM

Where

SPDSA Turf Training Facility

170, 3001 Buckingham Drive

Sherwood Park

Why

Strathcona County was about to break ground on a new multi-sport complex when fiscal analysis decisions caused postponement of the project. Indoor turf facilities support growing membership numbers, proper development in the sport, mitigates the affect of inclement weather, and allows both our club and municipality compete in the world of amateur soccer! SPDSA has been working hard since 2015 to have new facilities built for our growing membership and since the sad news of the project postponement we've been connecting with Council, pressing to be heard and for alternatives to be made possible. County Council has agreed to meet us in our facility to learn about SPDSA, speak with our members, and consider possible alternate solutions to the multi-sport facility.

Please come, show your support for soccer in Sherwood Park.
