U9 Girls (2015-2016) - U9 Girls Team 04 - Godlewski

Welcome to SPDSA U9 Girls soccer league 2020/2021

Good afternoon and Thank you for signing up for the 2020/2021 indoor soccer season.  My name is Lauren MacPherson and I am looking forward to coaching you.   I have played soccer throughout my childhood/ college years  - But it has been years since I have played so please bear with me as I navigate the new regulations and systems.

For those of you that have played with the SPDSA in the past there are just a few changes.  All U9 and older players MUST have a valid SPDSA player card.  If your child requires a card please email:  office@spdsa.net to request a card AND include a current headshot of your child.  Players without a card will NOT be allowed to play and no grace period will be offered to get a card.

There are a few changes to the rules of the facility as per Covid re-entry guild lines  as well as general rules for indoor soccer.

No parents are allowed on the field, no outdoor shoos are to be worn on the field.  On game day Parents and Players must complete the SPDSA checklist for players/ guardians.  ( attached below).

Some notable points:

Do NOT leave home if you are feeling unwell or exhibiting symptoms of Covid 19.

Please enter and exit the building at the designated Entrances/ exits.   For our games Players/guardian will enter the facility through the EAST entrance.  We are allowed to enter the building one half hour before the start of the game.  Our team will meet north of Field 1 just West of the stairwell to enter the spectator seating.  Hopefully this area is not too busy and will work for our team in the future.  If not we will adjust.  We will have access to 2 dressing rooms however only coaches and participants are allowed inside them to provide  Covid spacing.  If we can come dressed for playing it would make transitions between games easier.  I have attached a map of the field layout with exits.  I believe depending on which field we play on we can exit  through the south entrances.  I will confirm this before game day.

Each team must collect Contact tracing information of the player/ guardian for each game.  This sheet must be handed into the SPDSA within 24 hrs.  I haven't seen this sheet but it would be great if you could message me the Name / phone number of each player/ guardian driving their child to the first game and we can check it off on a list to avoid confusion.

Most importantly our team needs a few more volunteers to make this a successful and enjoyable experience for the players.   I would greatly appreciate it if I could get 4-5 parents that would be willing to help.  We require some more coaches and a game day manager.  You don't have to be available every week  but in the event a parent is sick/ or cannot make the game we will need other parent to be able to assist.  You will need to get a CRC ( criminal records check with a vulnerable persons) done prior and receive an SPDSA game card.  Please message me at lamacpherson@hotmail.com and I will send you the necessary sheet from SPDSA if you are going in person or can be done online.

I will be having a meet/ pick up your team uniform outside of Woodridge Elementary school on Tuesday October 13th from  5-7 pm.  If this does not work for you please message me and we can arrange a meet up at another location to drop off the uniform.   Thank you very much and I am looking forward to a fun indoor soccer season.

Have a great long weekend and Happy Thanksgiving to everyone,

Lauren
